Keep On Fuckin’ Up The Free World

Trump is the President Elect and will be The President of the United States, for a second, non-consecutive term.

I honestly can’t say that I’m surprised by this.

I do sometimes question the universe we live in…

What was totally unexpected is the landslide majority.

I know that us Europeans (I include the U.K. in that) have a comedic and stereotypical view of all of our colonial offspring, as they do of us.

People are people, they aren’t their governments…but they are easily influenced and manipulated by them.
All of us.

However, it saddens me that we move further away from a global community and that it’s at every step and mis-step.

Firstly, I believe it is going to be a very difficult four years for any woman, LGBTQ+, or immigrant (undocumented, illegal, legal or otherwise) who currently calls The United States of America home.
My heart aches for you.

Not only that, I sincerely believe that many who did vote for him will live to regret it, he won’t deliver what he’s promised you unless it benefits him, he will dismantle the American government as he implements Project 2025.
[Which generally and without getting into the finer details, is designed to create a dictatorship or at least a government of such power, that you could barely call it a democracy.]

But to the picture at large, globally…

I don’t want to get into the politics, history and opinions of colonialism, imperialism and the inhumanity of humanity.
(To be honest, one or two of my students would do a far better job of that.).

But if we look at the political climate of the past few decades, it’s all about segregation and division.

We could look to BREXIT, or any number of the recent political upheavals, skirmishes, and wars.

The people of America are wonderful, they’re varied in culture, opinions, and beliefs… (I have friends who were born there, and who moved there.).

One of the jokes I tell my classes when we discuss this, is that some Americans are amazing, intelligent , compassionate, and are incredibly creative people and that yes, some are bat shit crazy… and now you go and work out the ratio of that for a population of about 350 million.

Back to Trump and the “freedom” and “democracy” of the world.

The two party system isn’t democratic.
The electoral college, isn’t democratic.
Few democracies are actually democratic, except for…if my memory serves me well, Denmark.
Where you can’t be a career politician.

I don’t believe that Trump is a “bad” or “good” guy.

I think he’s a stupid guy and a greedy guy, an emotionally deficient man, who craves attention, power, and money (because money, gives him the two other things.).

The money and the power of office are a very nice massage to his ego, and that’s all he wants.

A happy retard (yes we are still allowed to use that word, in the U.K. at least, when it’s not derogatory to a physical or mental condition).

He has no business acumen.
Proven many, many times, ad infinitum…

So what could happen, what are the dangers?

Is Putin a friend of Trump?
No, in my opinion, Putin sees him as a toy that he can play with and manipulate to his own end.

According to the media, Russia has North Korean soldiers in Ukraine fighting for them.

Is Kim Jong Un a friend of Trump?
No, again he sees him as an opportunity.
Someone that he can manipulate.

Are the Israeli government a friend of Trump?
Possibly, but perhaps the people aren’t.
(You have to remember that Palestine exits because of colonialism and “safe havens” which both the “Great” British and French reneged on.).

Let us all put this into perspective.

Does it affect my life?
I have lived but don’t currently live in the U.S.

So, no, not right now, not at this moment, and not while you are reading this.

But then again, yes, massively.

You have the most powerful country in the world (financially-globally, by long term contracts (the contracts of the petro-dollar somehow negate the trillions of dollars worth of debt)) now run by a child, again.

Does he care about people’s rights, the citizens of his country, or any other?

No, he’s concerned with making deals that make him seem powerful and that ego massage, again.

That is a very dangerous leader of the “free world”.
